WHITE TRAVERTINE

 

Italy is the origin of the culture of travertine, with its ancient buildings made with this historical stone, such as the Colosseum or the St. Peter Basilica both in the city of Rome. Being the quarries in the Guidonia area and Tivoli, very near of the “center of the civilization”, it was widely used for all the public and private buildings made not only in the ancient Rome, but also in the churches, fountains and palazzos built during centuries, all of them can be admired now.

This sedimentary stone has different patterns, depending on the layer in which are cut. Main color is the soft crème, crossed by a delicate veining, and also other color stripes can be described, but in this report we are going to talk about one of the most spectacular variant, such as the WHITE TRAVERTINE.

NAVONA TRAVERTINE

Roman travertine Navona is the Italian white travertine par excellence, with a light ivory color, milky background and characteristic light veins with small and rather closed pores, extremely compact.

Its production is scarce, as it is strictly selected, but, for that, the final look is impressive.

Under that name is offered all around the world, but usually, due to its price, the types that are commercialized under that name are from other variants.

BIANCO ROMANO TRAVERTINE

Bianco Romano Travertine - Worldwide famous light beige to white background Travertine. Typical pattern that often comes with a gentle wavy veining.

MAXIMO TRAVERTINE

Milky white background Travertine, with an elegant light grey veining. The difference is the variation in the tones of the stripes that comes more evident than in the other types.

BLUE ONYX

 Blue Onyx is one of the most demanded colours on the world of natural Onyx. The soft blue colour that becomes intense when backlit made this exotic stone suitable for special decorations.
