Travertine Silver
Silver travertine is part from the travertine family which is a form of limestone deposited by mineral springs. Its porous structure presents a mixture of light and dark silver with beige, blue, brown and grey tones with significant movement throughout.
That type
is sourced from different countries, such as Italy, Iran and Turkey. It’s
difficult to differentiate the origin when not known, as they differ internally
in the petrographic structure, being the Italian the stronger one.
Most common
finishes are polished (pore open, pore closed transparent), honed (pore filled
color) or also in sandblasted or brushed finish, very popular for wall cladding
structures or exterior pavement.
